What You Will Remember

When they ask what you remember from your time upon the Earth you will say the hush of wind among the trees and the rushing sound of water. You will tell them you remember the refreshment of the water and the warmth of the sun upon your back. You remember life as a thing that happened in an instant, now that time has expanded to infinity and you comprehend its folly. You will still remember music because here there will also be melody. You may remember the music of your mother’s or your lovers’ or your childrens’ voices but you will not remember any pain, being entirely free from it now. You may also wonder what could have been so worrisome, your life on Earth having been so brief, though being without time or substance you will likely forget it ever mattered altogether.
